Neonicotinoids

Protect Our Rivers: Reduce Neonic Use!
A recent UConn study detected imidacloprid, a harmful neonicotinoid pesticide, in every sample taken from the Hockanum River. These chemicals are linked to the decline of sensitive aquatic life like mayflies, which are vital to river health and biodiversity.

What can you do?

  • Avoid lawn and garden products with neonicotinoids.
  • Ask your landscaper to skip “Merit” and similar products.
  • Choose flea treatments that are neonic-free.
