Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.
In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. This project includes the construction of concrete sidewalks on the east side of Prospect Street between Hackmatack Street and Cheney Lane.
Project is funded through the 2023 Public Works Bond.
Construction is anticipated to begin in September 2025 and take approximately 6 to 8 weeks to complete.
