The Town of Manchester proposes to reconstruct the municipal parking lot serving Town Hall and Fire Station No. 2. Work includes the reconfiguration of the parking lot to improve safety, convenience and eliminate conflicting traffic patterns with Fire Department apparatus. The project will also enhance the connectivity between Center Springs Park and Center Street/Center Memorial Park by installing a new sidewalk connection with landscaping and wayfinding signs. Also included in the project is the installation of electric vehicle charging stations for the public and for municipal vehicles.
This project is funded with 2 State funded grants (Local Capital Improvement Program and Center Springs Park Improvements) and an Eversource grant for the electric vehicle charging stations.
Bids were opened for the project on August 2, 2023. Construction is expected to begin in April 2024 and take approximately 8 months to complete.
