Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.

In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Project will construct a 10' wide bituminous concrete cycle track on the west side of Main Street between Park Street and Center Street. This project is part of the overall effort to improve the Downtown Main Street corridor to make it safer for pedestrians and bicyclists. The cycle track will connect into the cycle track south of Park Street that is proposed to be constructed in Phase 1 of the Downtown Improvements project, thus providing a continuous safe off street network along Main Street for cyclists. The project is funded through the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation's Community Connectivity Grant Program. Design, permitting and public outreach is anticipated to occur during the summer and fall of 2026 with construction expected to begin in the spring of 2027.
