The Town of Manchester Department of Public Works, Engineering Division proposes to construct a 360' x 240' synthetic turf soccer field, a combination skate/pump track and a 74-stall parking lot at 30 Charter Oak Street. The project will be completed in two phases. The first phase includes the turf field and parking lot. This work is anticipated to begin in August 2024 and take approximately 8 months to complete. The second phase includes the construction of a combination skate park and pump track. Phase 2 is anticipated to begin in May 2025 and take approximately 4 months to complete. The project will enhance the recreational facilities at Charter Oak park. The synthetic turf field will be marked for both adult and youth soccer and will have LED lighting. The skate park and pump track are currently being designed by American Ramp Company. The project was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission at their April 15, 2024 meeting.
Phase 1 (Parking Lot and Turf Field): August 2024 to June 2025 Phase 2 (Skate Park and Pump Track): May 2025 to August 2025
This project is funded with a combination of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, State grant and Local capital improvement funds.
