Library

The last day the Mary Cheney Library Building will be open is Saturday August 8th, 2026. Beginning Monday August 10th, the building will be closed while library movers pack up all the materials and bring them down to our new library building. During this time, you can continue to use the Whiton Branch Library, located at 100 N Main St, which will be open its normal hours. 
Monday September 14th at 10am will be the grand opening on the new main library at 1041 Main St.

While the Main Library building is closed and being moved and transitioned to its new location at 1041 Main St., please visit our Whiton Branch Library at 100 North Main St. to check out and return materials. Our book drops at the Main Library Building will be closed during the time we are closed. If you have any items that would typically be picked up at the Main Library building, all holds on reserved books will instead be kept for you at our branch during the five week period we are closed. Please note that any holds patrons or staff place on Main Library items may need a one-day delay before picking them up at Whiton and eventually the Main Library collection will not be available to place holds.

M-Th 10AM-8:30PM

F: 9AM-5PM
