Friends of the Library The Friends of the Manchester Public Library is a non-profit, non-political volunteer organization. It is the responsibility of the Friends to administer funds raised, donated, granted or endowed to secure materials that are beyond the scope of the library budget.

Summer Reading Kickoff with Mr. Lobster Join local musician and music teacher Mr Lobster (Christian Loftus) for an interactive concert for kids as we celebrate Summer Reading! You'll sing, you'll dance, you'll dream and you'll drink imaginary milkshakes. Target audience: kids ages 3-10, but all are welcome.
Bingo for Kids Visit the library to play different types of BINGO and win prizes. Begins week of June 23rd.
Preschool Summer Reading Kickoff with Michele Urban Join Michele Urban for Sing me a Fairy Tale: What Really Happened to the Three Little Pigs. You will love this hilarious retelling of the classic tale. Sing, dance, and laugh with fun songs that will "stick" in your mind and help "build" your musical skills.

In Conversation With Nationally Acclaimed Author Megan Collins 2025 Megan Collins (Manchester resident!) returns to talk about her fifth book "Cross My Heart", published with Simon and Schuster. Collins' writing has been hailed by USA Today as "moody and atmospheric" and the New York Times called "Family Plot", her third book," exceedingly entertaining". Copies of her book will be available for purchase and signing from Book Club on the Go.
After-School Video Game Attention TEENS! Need a break from class? Come over to the Library after school and enjoy some time playing games in our Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles! Snacks will be available.
