Notice to File 2024 Annual Personal Property Assessment Declarations

(Posted October 2, 2024)

All persons or businesses who, as of October 1, 2024, are conducting any type of business in Manchester, CT, including home-based businesses and remote employees, farmers, owners of non-registered motor vehicle(s), and owners of Non-Connecticut registered motor vehicle(s) must complete and file a Personal Property Declaration with the Assessor’s Office no later than November 1, 2024  pursuant to C.G.S. § 12-41 & 12-43. Any person filing a late or incomplete form or who does not file will incur a 25% penalty.

Farming and manufacturing exemption applications are also due November 1st in order to receive your exemption. Failure to receive a form from the Assessor’s Office does not excuse taxpayer from the obligation to declare personal property by November 1, 2024.

If you are uncertain how to complete your declaration correctly and would like to attend an In-Person Information Session, please send an email to personalproperty@manchesterct.gov to let us know you are interested.  We had our first session on October 1, and will schedule another date if there is interest in attending.
