In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Welcoming Penny West, who will present an illustrated talk about her great-grandparents, Gustavus Farley Jr. and Katharine Cheney Farley, pictured at right. Katharine, the daughter of the youngest of the Cheneys who founded Manchester’s silk industry, married a tea merchant from Massachusetts, and in 1880, theytraveled to Japan, where her husband based his tea-importing firm.Free for members, $5.00 for non-members.
