In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Exploring Archaeology – Pitkin Glass Works Inc. will sponsor Exploring Archaeology on Saturday September 17, 2022 at the Pitkin Glass Works site on the corner of Parker and Putnam Streets in Manchester, CT. Scott Brady, an avocational archaeologist with the Friends of the State Archeologist (FOSA) will discuss archaeology (process, goals, etc) and the history of the Pitkin Glass Works. Attendees will then be given the opportunity to have some supervised “hands on” archeological experience on the site.
There will be two 2 hour sessions, 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm with a maximum of 15 individuals aged 13 and above per session. The fee is $25 per person, registration is required.
