The Spruce Street Community Gardens aim to create vibrant, safe, and equitable spaces within our parks for individuals to learn and collaboratively practice growing their own food. We seek to support a sovereign food system and facilitate community-wide health & wellness through a robust combination of community garden spaces, educational gardens, and low-cost nature-based programs for individuals of all ages.
Fostering equitable food and greenspace access through the rental of 28 raised garden beds for rental by town residents annually. Participation in this collaborative growing community allows gardeners of all ages and abilities access to growing spaces, resources & education. Promote gardening success for all gardeners regardless of ability through a comprehensive collection of no-cost garden programs that connect them with the natural world through educational or immersive health and wellness experiences.
