June is Dog License Month!

Manchester Town Clerk, Darryl Thames, reminds all dog owners that JUNE is dog license month. All dogs six months or older residing in Connecticut MUST have a current license.

Manchester NEXT Public Hearing Scheduled for June 21st, 2023

A final draft of Manchester NEXT, the Town’s Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD), is now available. The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on June 21, 2023, at 7:00 P.M., both virtually and in person in the Lincoln Center Hearing Room, 494 Main Street, Manchester, Connecticut, to hear and consider the adoption of the proposed update to the POCD.

Grant Award - Hop River Trail Extension To Cheney Rail Trail

The Town of Manchester has received a $440,000 state grant through the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Recreational Trails Grant Program for the construction of a stone dust surfaced shared-use trail along the abandoned railroad corridor between Main Street and Colonial Road.

A significant milestone in Manchester's journey toward sustainability, The Town of Manchester, Manchester Public Schools, CT Green Bank, Greenskies, and community members gathered on Friday 5/19 to commemorate the successful installation of solar panels at six (6) of Manchester's schools, including Waddell Elementary (pictured) and Manchester's Water Treatment Facility.
