Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.

In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. The Manchester Water Department is working on a project to upgrade our water distribution system on Hendee Road. We will replace the existing water service with a new 1” copper service from the water main in the street to the curb valve in the yard. Once the work is completed, we will restore the pavement and lawn areas that were disturbed. The service renewals will be done at no charge to the homeowner.
The work will be performed by Water Department staff, Mondays through Fridays 7:30am – 3:30pm. Homeowners will be notified when work will be done on their property. The project will begin in April 2024 and will be completed by the end of September 2024.
