Summer is here, which means camps and pools are open! In this video Director of Leisure, Family and Recreation, Chris Silver shows us the "behind-the-scenes" as lifeguards and camp counselors train for the season ahead. Recreation Supervisor, Josh Charette and Lieutenant Perez walk us through their collaborative and robust lifeguard training process at Globe Hollow. We'll then take the spur trail to the east coast greenway down to Leisure Labs to meet up with Recreation Supervisors, James Costa and Taylor McBride. They'll talk to us about the wonderful benefits of their camp-open house and share details on everything that goes into preparing counselors for the summer season!
To obtain a free recreation membership pass, please visit any of the Manchester Recreation Center locations or contact the Department of Leisure, Family and Recreation at 860.647.3084
