The sun does more than brighten our days; it powers our buildings, fuels community gardens, supports pollinators, and even helps break down compost to enrich our soil.
Manchester is one of the most active towns in Connecticut when it comes to solar installations, with seven municipal solar arrays helping offset energy costs and reduce emissions. The newest array at the Water & Sewer building alone has already made an impact equal to planting 11,500 trees!
From solar power to composting and community gardening, the sun plays a key role in building a greener, healthier Manchester. Check out the infographic below to see how the sun helps our community shine.
