Over the next 2 weeks, crews will be doing a leaf collection test run in select areas to test equipment functionality. This is not the official leaf pickup. A second, formal pass will follow later to collect leaves properly. The official leaf collection programs begins November 10. Thank you for your patience while we fine-tune the process.
The Town of Manchester will conduct a fire flow/hydraulic capacity test at 160 Spruce Street, Manchester CT to determine the effects upon the water distribution system. The test will take place on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM.

On October 4, 2022, the Board of Directors authorized the establishment of a Temporary Committee on Trail Enhancements and Connectivity to develop a plan for Manchester’s trail network. The charge of the committee is as follows:
i. Allocate $300,000 of federal American Rescue Act Plan (ARPA) funds “for the purpose of acquiring parcels of land that improve or enhance the connection of accessibility of recreational trails,”
ii. Allocate $200,000 of federal American Rescue Act Plan (ARPA) funds to “maintain, upgrade, or otherwise enhance existing trails.
