The Town of Manchester Water Department is in the process of making upgrades to the Globe Hollow Water Treatment Plant. Due to these upgrades, the annual water main flushing program will be moved to Fall 2025.

The Wall That Heals arrives at 11 AM Sept. 17, 2024! (Please note the new time!)
The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a mobile Education Center, is coming to Manchester, CT on September 19- 22 at Charter Oak Park and will be open 24 hours a day and free to the public.
The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.

On Tuesday, September 17 at approximately 11 AM, a large motorcycle and police escort will accompany the oversized trailer carrying The Wall That Heals into Downtown via exit 3. It will proceed up Main Street, right on East Center, and right down Spruce Street into Charter Oak Park, where it will be greeted and welcomed into Town. The trailer, which transforms into the Mobile Education Center, will be opened up for visitors for a few hours. On Wednesday, The Wall set-up begins and will open to the public after 2pm.
