Rebuilding Together 2026

Rebuilding Together Manchester, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeowners in need, is now accepting applications for its 2026 home repair and maintenance projects.

The program assists low-income homeowners in Manchester, including elderly residents, individuals with disabilities, and families with children, by providing critical home repairs and safety modifications—completely free of charge. Work is completed by volunteers and funded through community donations and grants.

“Our goal is to ensure that every homeowner in Manchester can live in a safe, warm, and healthy home,” said Dan Bissette, Program Coordinator for Rebuilding Together Manchester. “We’re proud to bring neighbors together to help neighbors through this important community effort.”

Application Information

Applications are now open, and the deadline to apply is February 1, 2026. Eligible homeowners must meet the following requirements:

  • The home must be located in Manchester.

  • The applicant must be the legal owner of the property.

  • Applicants must meet income guidelines for low-income households.

Available Services

Rebuilding Together Manchester provides a range of home repair and maintenance services, including:

  • Interior and exterior repairs

  • Accessibility modifications such as grab bars and railings

  • Painting and yard work

  • Clutter removal and handicap ramp installation

  • Roof rehabilitation and chimney replacement program (grant-funded; available on a first come, first served basis)

National Rebuilding Day: April 25, 2026

While projects take place year-round, the organization’s biggest volunteer event, National Rebuilding Day, will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026. On this day, hundreds of volunteers come together to complete multiple home repair projects across Manchester.

Rebuilding Together Manchester is also seeking sponsors and volunteers to support its 2026 efforts. Local businesses, civic groups, and individuals are encouraged to get involved and help make a lasting difference in the lives of their neighbors.
