Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.

In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Eversource is scheduled to begin installing power to new streetlights on or around September 4th.
Project will replace the existing streetlights, poles and electrical service for streetlights on Ambassador Drive and Esquire Drive. Construction will be a joint effort between Town Field Services Staff, Eversource and the Town's streetlighting contractor, Turri Inc.
Phase 1 (April/May): Town staff will install new conduits for new streetlight service.
Phase 2 (July): Town staff and Turri Inc. will install new fiberglass streetlight poles and LED lights.
Phase 3 (Aug/Sept): Eversource will install new electrical conductors to energize new lighting system. Town staff will remove old wooden poles and lights once new system is operational.
