Project will construct approximately 500 linear feet of 8' wide bituminous concrete sidewalk at 340-368 Broad Street. The sidewalk will connect to the existing Bigelow Brook Greenway trail and trailhead parking lot on the east side of Broad Street via a new rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB) crossing. It will connect to the 8' wide bituminous concrete sidewalk at 330-340 Broad Street proposed to be constructed as part of the Parkade development. This project also includes the construction of a prefabricated steel truss bridge over Bigelow Brook. The project is funded with an Urban Act Grant administered by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP). Construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2025 and take approximately four months to complete.
