Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.

In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Project will construct approximately 500 linear feet of 8' wide bituminous concrete sidewalk at 340-368 Broad Street. The sidewalk will connect to the existing Bigelow Brook Greenway trail and trailhead parking lot on the east side of Broad Street via a new rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB) crossing. It will connect to the 8' wide bituminous concrete sidewalk at 330-340 Broad Street proposed to be constructed as part of the Parkade development. This project also includes the construction of a prefabricated steel truss bridge over Bigelow Brook. The project is funded with an Urban Act Grant administered by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP). Construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2025 and take approximately four months to complete.
