CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY (CPS) TECHNICIANS

The Manchester Police Department is dedicated to providing the public with critical information pertaining to the safety of child passengers. Our department has over a dozen Certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Technicians who are available by appointment to inspect the installation of child safety seats and teach parents how to properly install them. To schedule an appointment with a certified technician call: (860) 645-5500 ext. 15002

Currently appointments are available on Thursdays 3pm-7pm.

Things you'll need for your appointment:

All components of the car seat (if it's an infant seat make sure you have the base AND carrier).

Also make sure you have the car seat manual as well as your car manufactures manual.

It is recommended that you bring your child with you to the appointment so the technicians can show you how to properly secure your child in the seat and how the harness system works.

If you are unable to have your child with you please know your childs current age, height and weight. With out this information the technicians may not be able to install your seat.
