1. Q. When can I apply for a position with the Town of Manchester?
A. The Town of Manchester only accepts applications for currently advertised vacancies. For a complete listing of our current vacancies, please visit our Employment Opportunities webpage. General applications or applications for positions that are not currently advertised will not be accepted or kept on file.
2. Q. How do I apply for a position with the Town of Manchester?
A. To be considered for employment with the Town of Manchester, you must submit an online application for the specific position of interest. Current openings can be found on our Job Opportunities page. A Town Job Application should be submitted for ALL vacancies with the exception of Police Officer, for which a Police Officer Job Application should be completed (you may also apply online for Police Officer positions on http://www.policeapp.com/).

4. Q. How can I find out more information about an open position and if I am qualified for that position?
A. For each available opening, the Town of Manchester creates a job posting, which includes salary and hours, closing date, a summary of the position, minimum educational and experience requirements and certifications, information on any examinations for the position, as well as information on how to apply for the position. Job postings are available on the Employment Opportunities webpage.
5. Q. Do I need to complete a separate application if I am interested in more than one position?
A. Yes, for each position you are interested in, a separate application must be submitted.
6. Q. What is the Affirmative Action Questionnaire used for?
A. In order to comply with Federal EE0-4 reporting requirements and statistical record keeping for the Town of Manchester, we ask all applicants to complete the voluntary Affirmative Action Questionnaire included in the application. This information is removed before your application is reviewed since the information you provide will not be considered in the employment process.
7. Q. Do I have to live in Manchester to be eligible for a position with the Town?
A. There is no residency requirement for Town of Manchester positions unless specified by Town Charter.
8. Q. How will I find out the status of my application?
