Failure to pay any tax that is due by August 1, 2025 will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2025. The Town of Manchester mailed the tax bills for the October 1, 2024 Grand List on June 20, 2025.

The Town of Manchester Water Department is in the process of making upgrades to the Globe Hollow Water Treatment Plant. Due to these upgrades, the annual water main flushing program will be moved to Fall 2025.
Effective immediately, all Building Permit applications, Commercial UST removals & Fireworks/Sparkle Retail Sales permits that require review & approval from the Fire Marshal's Office, must be made through the Town of Manchester Online Permit system ONLY, with the exception of Blasting Permits (see information for this permit below).

The Connecticut Fire Safety Code and the Connecticut Building Code, allow up to 30 days to act on applications. Plan Reviews are completed on a first-come, first-served basis & completed as quickly as possible.

Blasting Permits: Please contact the Fire Marshal's Office at (860) 647-3267, to make an appointment to complete the 'State of CT Application To Purchase, Transport & Use Explosives' form. Payment of $60.00 (regulated by the State of CT) is accepted by check only, at this time.
