In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Effective immediately, all Building Permit applications, Commercial UST removals & Fireworks/Sparkle Retail Sales permits that require review & approval from the Fire Marshal's Office, must be made through the Town of Manchester Online Permit system ONLY, with the exception of Blasting Permits (see information for this permit below).

The Connecticut Fire Safety Code and the Connecticut Building Code, allow up to 30 days to act on applications. Plan Reviews are completed on a first-come, first-served basis & completed as quickly as possible.

Construction Value - $0.00 up to and including $4,000.00 FEE - $20.00 In excess of $4,000.00 FEE - $20.00 PLUS $7.00 per $1,000.00 or portion thereof in excess of $4,000.00 (rounded up)

Blasting Permits: Please contact the Fire Marshal's Office at (860) 647-3267, to make an appointment to complete the 'State of CT Application To Purchase, Transport & Use Explosives' form. Payment of $60.00 (regulated by the State of CT) is accepted by check only, at this time.
