The Water Department will be flushing water mains in areas of the distribution system. The cleaning program will begin at 7:15 a.m. each day and continue till 3:00 p.m.

The Position
Firefighter-Paramedics work in an exciting dynamic and highly rewarding environment. They work within a high-performance team to provide vital Emergency Services. We accept both entry-level and lateral candidates. Preference may be given to candidates who have successfully completed the Connecticut Fire Academy’s Recruit Firefighter Program. Firefighter / Paramedics perform a variety of duties in response to medical and trauma emergencies, and are involved in the control and extinguishment of fires; protection of life and property; maintenance of Fire Department buildings, quarters, equipment and related work as required. Medical supervision is received from the Medical Director or his/her designee while administrative supervision and firefighting supervision is provided by the Fire Chief – Manchester Fire Department.
