In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Newcity Builders is playing Santa this year and donating and planting a beautiful 15 foot Colorado Spruce for this year's Downtown Tree Lighting! This tree will be planted at the Center Congregational Church located at the top of Main Street, next to Town Hall. The church will light the tree each December, beginning with this year's Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 9th! The tree will be arriving from Rhode Island on Saturday, November 4th and is expected to be traveling up Main Street (from Hartford Road to Center Street) between 10:30 am and 11:00 am. Join in with the Manchester Police Department, Chuckles from the Lutz Museum and Santa himself as they escort the tree from Charter Oak Park up Main Street to its new home! You can watch the tree arrive and wave to the special guests from any downtown sidewalk! Plan to head downtown for brunch, a coffee, or a little bit of shopping and then pop outside to watch the tree arrive!
