The Extreme Hot Weather Protocol will be activated at 11AM on Tuesday, July 14, and remain in effect through 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, this week. During this period, temperatures are expected to reach into the mid-to-high 90s, with the heat index surpassing 100 degrees at times.

The Town of Manchester mailed the tax bills for the October 1, 2025 Grand List on June 22, 2026. The first installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2025 are due and payable on July 1, 2026. Failure to pay any tax that is due by August 3, 2026 will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2026.
2023 IMLD will take place Saturday, February 25 - Sunday, February 26, 2023. The event celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity. There 3 components: 1) Saturday, February 25th: Writers Meet & Greet/Family Event at the Whiton Library Branch (100 North Main Street); 2) Sunday, February 26th Multicultural Celebration event with Dance and Music at the Bailey Auditorium @Manchester High School (134 East Middle Turnpike); and 3) Sunday, February 26th 'Language is Art' Exhibit, which also takes place at the Bailey Auditorium Lobby @Manchester High School (134 East Middle Turnpike).
Writers Meet & Greet event takes place from: 1:00 - 4:30 p.m.
The 'Language is Art' Exhibit, displayed in the lobby of the Bailey Auditorium, will begin at 1:30 p.m.
The Multicultural Event will begin at 2:00 p.m. and end at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Then attendees can continue to view the Language is Art after the program until 4:30 p.m.
Saturday's events take place at Whiton Library, 100 North Main Street.Sunday's events take place at Manchester High School, 134 East Middle Turnpike.
