Excessive high temperatures are predicted Tuesday, 7/15 through Friday, 7/18, this week. In addition to 90+ degree temperatures, very humid conditions may push the heat index up to at least 100 degrees each day. Residents are advised to please take proper precautions. If you are at risk from the heat, call 860-645-5500 for assistance.
Failure to pay any tax that is due by August 1, 2025 will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2025. The Town of Manchester mailed the tax bills for the October 1, 2024 Grand List on June 20, 2025.

15 Annual Emergency of Hunger Food Drive, collecting food, gift cards, and monetary donations.
The Ambulance Service of Manchester is proud to support the 15th annual Emergency of Hunger Holiday Food Drive to benefit MACC Food Bank of Manchester, the South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, and the Hockanum Valley Community Council of Vernon.
Over the past decade, this “Emergency of Hunger” Food Drive has grown to be one of the largest in Manchester, South Windsor, and Vernon, and it has become critical to keeping our food banks stocked for the holidays and winter months. We need your support now more than ever.
Nov. 11 & 12: 9-4pm at Highland Park Market and Stop & Shop in Manchester
Nov. 18 & 19: 9-4pm at Stop & Shops in Manchester and Vernon, also Geissler’s and Stop & Shop in South Windsor.
