Excessive high temperatures are predicted Tuesday, 7/15 through Friday, 7/18, this week. In addition to 90+ degree temperatures, very humid conditions may push the heat index up to at least 100 degrees each day. Residents are advised to please take proper precautions. Failure to pay any tax that is due by August 1, 2025 will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2025. The Town of Manchester mailed the tax bills for the October 1, 2024 Grand List on June 20, 2025.

Free Rail Trail Hike on Saturday, October 22, at 1:00 p.m. -- an easy 3-mile walk along the former railroad, hiking along the one-mile portion owned by the Manchester Land Conservation Trust and then to Center Springs Park and the footbridge overlooking Broad Street. About 90 minutes round trip, with commentary on the history of the railroad. Meet at tracks on north (right) side of 2 Main Street. Park at nearby shopping plaza or Eighth Utilities District office (please do not park in Farr's store’s parking lot).
