Over the next 2 weeks, crews will be doing a leaf collection test run in select areas to test equipment functionality. This is not the official leaf pickup. A second, formal pass will follow later to collect leaves properly. The official leaf collection programs begins November 10. Thank you for your patience while we fine-tune the process.
Fall Back! Clocks go back one hour on Sunday, November 2nd at 2 a.m.The Manchester Fire Department reminds you to also change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and test them monthly. Please replace your smoke alarms every 10 years and carbon monoxide alarms every 7 years.

The annual lighting of the town Christmas tree takes place starting at 4PM on November 30 when we gather at Silk City Coffee for CAROLING, pictures with Santa, free treats, and while supplies last, this year‘s ornament! Children living in Manchester, who are between the ages of 5 and 10 years old are encouraged to submit a picture and two or three sentences on what the holidays mean to them. The contest runs through 5 PM on November 8. You can pick up and drop off entries at Silk City Coffee, 763 Main St. or Center Church, 11 Center St. through 5PM on November 8. The tree lighting takes place on the lawn at Center Church starting at 5 PM.
