Excessive high temperatures are predicted Tuesday, 7/15 through Friday, 7/18, this week. In addition to 90+ degree temperatures, very humid conditions may push the heat index up to at least 100 degrees each day. Residents are advised to please take proper precautions. If you are at risk from the heat, call 860-645-5500 for assistance.
Failure to pay any tax that is due by August 1, 2025 will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2025. The Town of Manchester mailed the tax bills for the October 1, 2024 Grand List on June 20, 2025.

Join us at 2:30 pm in the Howroyd Room at Mary Cheney Library to celebrate Arbor Day with activities for the whole family.
The program will start with a short walk in Center Memorial Park. Town historian Susan Barlow will talk about the park’s history, and a representative of the Connecticut College Arboretum will provide information about trees in the park. The walk will include children’s activities. After the walk, there will be additional family activities in the Howroyd Room including potting a small evergreen tree to be planted at home (while supplies last). Light refreshments will be provided. Program is on, rain or shine - indoor activities if the weather requires. This is a free program; no registration required.
