Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.
In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. A water shutoff will be occurring from 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 7th - 6:00 AM Thursday, May 8th for the following:
53-99 Laurel St., 80-87 Garden St.,25-49 New St.,244-266 Center St.
Be sure to draw water sufficient for your needs before shut off. For drinking and cooking purposes fill clean containers and fill the bathtub with water for toilet flushing. If your supply runs low you are able to obtain water at our bottling station at 125 Spring St. You must bring your own containers. The Water Department apologizes for any inconvenience this shut down has caused you.
