The Extreme Hot Weather Protocol will be activated at 11AM on Tuesday, July 14, and remain in effect through 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, this week. During this period, temperatures are expected to reach into the mid-to-high 90s, with the heat index surpassing 100 degrees at times.

The Town of Manchester mailed the tax bills for the October 1, 2025 Grand List on June 22, 2026. The first installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2025 are due and payable on July 1, 2026. Failure to pay any tax that is due by August 3, 2026 will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2026.

Water Shut Off will be occurring from 9AM–7PM on Monday, June 10th 2024 for:
20-32 Putnam St. 72-112 Pitkin St. 47-62 Academy St. 12-31 Parker St.
Be sure to draw water sufficient for your needs before shut off. For drinking and cooking purposes fill clean containers and fill the bathtub with water for toilet flushing. If your supply runs low you are able to obtain water at our bottling station at 125 Spring St. You must bring your own containers. The Water Department apologizes for any inconvenience this shut down has caused you.
The Water Department assumes no responsibility for damage on the premises as a result of the water being shut off. As a precaution against damage you can shut off the valve on your service pipe where it enters the house. This valve is located between the water meter and the wall of the house. You will not be notified when the water is on.
Shutoff will be approximately 10 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience.
