Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.

In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Manchester Public Works will be permanently converting the Oakland St. at Woodbridge St. intersection into an all-way stop-controlled intersection beginning on or after August 9, 2023.
The railroad crossing is no longer in service and southbound Oakland St. traffic will now be required to stop at the new stop sign.
