Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.
In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Manchester Road Race News
The Manchester Road Race Committee is advising runners and spectators that flexible plastic fencing will be positioned at the corner of Main and Charter Oak Streets on the morning of the Thanksgiving Day run.
Road Race and Town officials are cooperating in this effort in order to simulate street width conditions and determine if the street width at this location will be sufficient to accommodate the large flow of runners if a traffic roundabout of the size proposed is placed there in the future.
