Snow Parking Ban 2/22-2/24

The Manchester Police Department is issuing an Snow Emergency Parking Ban in advance of a significant winter storm forecasted for this weekend and into early next week.

The parking ban will take effect at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, and will remain in effect until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24.

Trash Delay 2/23

Trash and recycling curbside collection will not occur on Monday, 2/23.

The normal collection schedule will be pushed back 1 day all week. Residents should keep their trash and recycling bins away from the streets and sidewalks until after snow cleanup has been completed.

The Charter Revision Commission is making several recommendations on changes to the Town's Charter. Among what is being considered is:

Remove Residency Requirement for Superintendent of Public Schools
Retain Library Advisory Board and Expand Membership and Powers
Updating Manchester’s status to a "City"
Changing Board of Directors to "Town Council" or "City Council"
Adjusting Term Lengths for Local Officials
Adjusting Compensation for Elected Officials
Political Activity Prohibition Removed
