Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.
In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. The Manchester Senior Center offers lunch prepared by MACC Charities (Manchester Area Conference of Churches) available daily Monday thru Friday at 12:00PM. You can enjoy it in the cafeteria or take it to go through their take-out station located in the cafeteria of the Senior Center (549 East Middle Turnpike). To reserve a lunch, please call the front office 860-647-3211 by 12:30 PM the day before. If you need a ride to lunch or for any of the Senior Center programs, you can call the front office 860-647-3211 by 3PM the day before.
