The Manchester Police Department is issuing an Snow Emergency Parking Ban in advance of a significant winter storm forecasted for this weekend and into early next week.The parking ban will take effect at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, and will remain in effect until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24.
Trash and recycling curbside collection will not occur on Monday, 2/23. The normal collection schedule will be pushed back 1 day all week. Residents should keep their trash and recycling bins away from the streets and sidewalks until after snow cleanup has been completed.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing bridge deck rehabilitation work on various bridges on I-384 in Manchester and Bolton. This work is scheduled to start on April 1, 2025. The project, 0076-0227, is in District 1 and includes the rehabilitation of 19 bridges which was initiated by CTDOT to address maintenance and longevity of these bridges by way of stripping the wearing surface, patching the concrete deck (full depth and partial depth as needed), applying membrane waterproofing, and then a new overlay of asphalt pavement. There will be lane closures on various state roads, town roads, and on I-384 from Sunday through Saturday, starting April 1, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Traffic control signing patterns, flaggers, and uniformed police officers will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
