Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.
In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. The Town of Manchester is happy to announce that two programs utilizing American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds are now open to eligible town businesses.
Business Façade and Signage Improvement Fund Grant Program - offers reimbursement grants for projects to improve the exterior appearance of commercial and mixed-use buildings and signage.
Business Investment Fund Grant Program - offers reimbursable matching grants for projects that address code, access, energy efficiency, or sustainability improvements and promote enhanced use of underutilized space to add jobs, value, and economic vitality.
Both programs aim to enhance commercial properties by promoting structural and aesthetic improvements to increase vibrancy and economic opportunity throughout the town. Learn More
