The Extreme Hot Weather Protocol will be activated at 11AM on Tuesday, July 14, and remain in effect through 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, this week. During this period, temperatures are expected to reach into the mid-to-high 90s, with the heat index surpassing 100 degrees at times.

The Town of Manchester mailed the tax bills for the October 1, 2025 Grand List on June 22, 2026. The first installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2025 are due and payable on July 1, 2026. Failure to pay any tax that is due by August 3, 2026 will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2026.
The Senior Center offers transportation for seniors to and from the senior center, Monday - Friday and is available for seniors aged 60 and over. Rides can be scheduled by calling the senior center office at 860-647-3211. If you find that you need to cancel your ride with us, please call the office as soon as possible. We appreciate as much notice as possible.
Dial-a-Ride serves Manchester residents who are 60 years of age or older and people with disabilities. Rides are provided free of charge, Monday - Friday in Manchester for medical appointments, grocery shopping (limit of 3 shopping bags per shopper), work, banks, post office, town hall, gym, library and social events. First pick up is 8:30 AM and last pick up is 4:00 PM. Excluding Holidays. Reservations & Registration are required. Please call 860-870-7940, Monday-Thursday between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and on Fridays 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM. In case of inclement weather, please watch WTNH or WFSB for closing or late start.
ADA (American with Disabilities Act) Transportation provides rides in accordance with the specifications of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This service is available to locations in the Greater Hartford area. You may call 860-724-5340 to learn about the procedure to qualify. A fee is charged for rides.
