The Manchester Community Services Council or MCSC is dedicated to supporting community alliances that remove barriers to human services as a critical component for enhancing the quality of life for all Manchester residents.

Founded in 1972, MCSC is comprised of dedicated individuals and organizations who meet nine times a year to:

  • Identify and discuss social service needs
  • Hear presentations by local experts
  • Network with like-minded peers and community members
  • Support scholarships for higher education and skills training

We are providing an INVOICE(PDF, 121KB) and a W9(PDF, 74KB) in case your organization requires them. 

Annual membership dues are:

  • $25 for Individual Membership – 1 voting member
  • $40 for Organization Membership – 2 voting members, unlimited meeting attendees (for agencies, businesses, non-profits or separate departments of large institutions such as the Town)

 

 

Executive Board Members

** Board and Committe participation is encouraged for new and experienced members alike, opportunities will be announced throughout the year.

MCSC Scholarships

MCSC now administers and awards three different annual scholarships. One is funded through MCSC membership donations and the others are funded through private/outside donations.

For Students Enrolled in M.C.C.

Ed & Eleanor Coltman Scholarship – $500 (2)                                                                                                                                 Funded by MSCS membership dues

High school seniors and adults admitted for Manchester Community College associate’s degree or certificate program in the fall; there is no requirement to reside or attend high school in Manchester.  For more information, contact  Barbara Titus or call 860-614-5822  APPLICATION(PDF, 239KB)

For Eagle Scouts and Girl Scout Gold Award Winners

Justus Joy Scholarship – $1,000 (1)                                                                                                                                      Privately funded

Eagle Scouts and Girl Scout Gold Award recipients from Manchester CT Troops attending two- or four-year college in the fall.  For more information, contact Dale Doll or call 860-402-1692  APPLICATION(PDF, 146KB) 

For Culinary Arts Students

Dorothy “Dotti” Cannon Scholarship – $500 (2)                                                                                                                  Privately funded
