Open House!

Sunday, May 5, 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Also May 19, June 8, June 23 and then the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.

Visit the grounds, barns, and c. 1830 farmhouse. Free; donations welcome. 495 Middle Turnpike East.

Special activities on May 5: • 10-minute video, “A Conversation with Thelma,” wherein Thelma Woodbridge talks about her home and the history of the farm. • Potting Station in the barn, where we will have small plants and flower pots where children or adults can pot up their own plant to take home. • Spring Egg Hunt with prizes. • Refreshments.

Throughout the season, which is generally the second and fourth Sundays of the warmer months, from noon to 2:00, there are various activities, including games and fun for children. Free; donations accepted. In May, we’ve adjusted the schedule due to holidays.

 The Farmstead, a property of the Manchester Historical Society, is located at Manchester Green, near the intersection of East Middle Turnpike with Woodbridge Street. Visitors can park at the municipal lot behind the Senior Center, in the lot behind the barns, or along the street between the Senior Center and the farmstead itself. From the street, walk to the backyard using the grass driveway between the house and Woodbridge Pizza.
