Excessive high temperatures are predicted Tuesday, 7/15 through Friday, 7/18, this week. In addition to 90+ degree temperatures, very humid conditions may push the heat index up to at least 100 degrees each day. Residents are advised to please take proper precautions. If you are at risk from the heat, call 860-645-5500 for assistance.
Failure to pay any tax that is due by August 1, 2025 will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2025. The Town of Manchester mailed the tax bills for the October 1, 2024 Grand List on June 20, 2025.

West Side history walk
All welcome to a free West Side stroll, Saturday, August 26, at 1:00 p.m., starting at Washington School, 94 Cedar Street, and including a visit to Zion Lutheran Church on Cooper Street. The moderately paced walk will take about 75 minutes. Town Historian Susan Barlow will lead the tour. Rain or shine, but heavy rain cancels. This is one of the 23 walks in 2023, part of the celebration of Manchester’s 200th birthday.
