In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Calling all Veterans and their families and all friends of Veterans! VFW Post 2083 and Support Our Soldiers-Connecticut will be sponsoring a “Thank a Veteran” Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Dinner will start around 3:00 pm with doors opening at 2 for some social time as we set up and close around 4:30 so we can clean up. We will provide the main courses of turkey and pulled pork and request those who can bring a salad or dessert to share. The dinner is free (donations appreciated) and is open to all, Veterans, families, and anyone who wants to say “Thanks” to the Veterans in attendance. Kitchen help with set up, serving and clean-up is needed. If too many people show up ‘to go’ boxes will be handed out to any overflow.
