Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.
In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. East Hartford VFW Post 2083 and Support Our Soldiers-Connecticut invites ALL VETERANS of the US Military to our free end of summer cookout on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 6 pm. We will have hot dogs and hamburgers, salads, desserts and refreshments. The cookout will be held rain or shine at the Hillstown Grange, 617 Hills Street, East Hartford.
This will be a chance for Veterans to meet and socialize and enjoy a dinner with fellow comrades who have all answered the call to serve their nation. Spouses, caregivers, and significant others are also invited to attend. The Grange is a smoke-free venue and is handicap accessible. This is a good time to ask questions on Veterans benefits and problems and we will try to get answers if we don’t have them.
At 7:30 we will have a program on Veteran addiction and suicide prevention. The public is invited to attend.
