Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.
October 19 - November 1at Mahoney Recreation Center (Rear Entrance off Pleasant St., 110 Cedar St) from 10am-6pm. Extended hours are October 27 & 29 from 8am-8pm.
The Manchester Water and Sewer Department will begin investigative test pits in the coming weeks throughout the Town of Manchester. If your property is selected, you will receive a notice at your door before the inspection. The test pits will identify water service line materials on both the Town and customer sides of the curb box. Please call 860-647-6050 with any questions or concerns.
Veterans Day Parade

Parade and Color Guard form and step off from American Legion Drive, at 10:30 a.m.
Arrive at Manchester Memorial Hospital for Outdoor Ceremony on Front Lawn at 11:00 a.m. Lowering of Colors, Placing of Wreaths, Playing of Taps, and Bagpiper.
The ceremony is led by Paul Scappaticci, co-chair of the Veterans Advisory Committee. Mayor Jay Moran and state representatives will participate in the ceremony.
In case of inclement weather, the remainder of the ceremony will take place inside the hospital in the H. Louise Ruddell Auditorium at 11:15 a.m.
All attendees are invited to enjoy brunch in our cafeteria immediately following the ceremony.
