The Town of Manchester mailed the tax bills for the October 1, 2025 Grand List on June 22, 2026. The first installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2025 are due and payable on July 1, 2026.Failure to pay any tax that is due by August 3, 2026 will cause the tax to become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the original due date of July 1, 2026.
The Manchester Landfill and the Commercial Scale will be closed on Friday, June 26 from 12pm to the end of the day for paving. The Transfer Station will still be open for residents to access with Recycling Permits and Punch Cards.
The Water Department will be flushing water mains in areas of the distribution system. Please see the attached list of streets for this week of flushing.Fire flow tests and hydraulic capacity tests of the system will also be done during this week in an effort to decrease the disturbances to our customers.
Barbershop and Irish Music Celebrate Together on Stage
The Silk City Chorus, part of the Manchester CT Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, is proud to announce our 2025 Annual Show. Titled “A PINT O BARBERSHOP”, the show will once again be staged at Manchester High School's Bailey Auditorium. Join us as we celebrate the joys of Barbershop Harmony and the rich traditions of Celtic Music.
The chorus will share the stage with THE JOLLY BEGGARS, a unique band who will bring us the spirit of Irish Music. Also performing is our fellow chorus of mixed voices, MOSAIC. Two world class guest groups will also join us. Most exciting is FIRST TAKE , the current silver medalists of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Directly from Dublin, Ireland we are hosting LADY BARBALADE, a 2024 semi-finalist quartet who will fill our hearts with the spirit of Ireland. DESTINATION, the 2023 champions of the Northeast District of the Barbershop Harmony Society will also appear.
