Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.
In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Artificial Intelligence Comes to Barbershop Music on January 20, 2024
The Silk City Chorus, part of the Manchester CT Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, is proud to announce our Annual Show. Titled BARBER-FICIAL INTELLIGENCE, the show this year will return to Bailey Auditorium at Manchester High School. Join us as we introduce a master of artificial intelligence to the magic of four part harmony.
The chorus will share the stage with “Barbie” a unique digital database seeking to learn all there is to know about four part harmony. Also performing is our fellow chorus of mixed voices, MOSAIC. Several world class guest groups will also join us. Most exciting is MIDTOWN, the current gold medal champions of the Barbershop Harmony Society. DESTINATION, the current champions of the Northeast District of the Barbershop Harmony Society will also appear. Finally, a special magical act ALEXANDER THE OK, will add to the fun.
