In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Unitarian Universalist Society: East will hold Mayfair from 10 a.m.-2p.m. Saturday, April 29, on the UUS:E grounds at 153 W. Vernon St.
Mayfair is a spiritually grounded, community-building event. The centerpiece is a Celtic-inspired, seasonal Beltane ritual in the memorial garden, organized by the UUS:E Pagans.
Other activities include:
Vegan donuts will be for sale at 10 a.m., along with coffee. The Beltane ritual will take place at 11 a.m. in the Memorial Garden. At noon tables will be set up for lunch. Please bring a bag lunch or picnic.
For the Beltane Ritual please bring: Two “clooties” (prayer ribbons) to tie on the May Trees in the Memorial Garden. What are clooties? Cut two strips of cloth from a piece of old, beloved clothing (which carries your energy in it). One clootie will be used for a personal intention, the other as a prayer for peace and justice in the world.
