Invasive Knotweed Walk 2025

Japanese knotweed is a particularly aggressive invasive plant in disturbed sites in Manchester.  The Conservation Commission is starting a project of mechanical removal of stands of knotweed along the Cheney Rail Trail.  Come help on Sunday as we cut and bag knotweed along the trail.  Meet at 8 AM in the Lodge Drive parking lot of Center Springs Park.  We will start along the Cheney Rail Trail toward Middle Turnpike West.

Meetup Location: Center Springs Park, 39 Lodge Dr, Manchester, CT

When: Sunday, June 8, 8 AM – 10 AM

Bring: gardening gloves; garden loppers if you have them
