Bidwell street will be closed from Hartford Road to Ramey drive starting 9/22/2026, for 30 days to allow for sewer main installation. Detour signs have been installed to help residents navigate around closure area.Salters Pool Parking Lot will be closed starting 9/21/2026, for 6-8 weeks to allow reconstruction of the parking lot. Pond access will be maintained during construction.

In the coming weeks, a two-person Arcadis inspection team will conduct in-home service line inspections at select Manchester residences. Team members will carry identification badges and wear Arcadis-branded safety vests. If your property is selected for inspection, you will receive a door hanger notice in advance. Japanese knotweed is a particularly aggressive invasive plant in disturbed sites in Manchester. The Conservation Commission is starting a project of mechanical removal of stands of knotweed along the Cheney Rail Trail. Come help on Sunday as we cut and bag knotweed along the trail. Meet at 8 AM in the Lodge Drive parking lot of Center Springs Park. We will start along the Cheney Rail Trail toward Middle Turnpike West.
